Convocation Ceremony (दीक्षांत समारोह)  2026–  Shree Hanumat IMT, Goraya   Shree Hanumat Institute of Management & Technology proudly celebrated its First Annual Convocation Ceremony 2026, a landmark occasion that reflected the institute’s commitment to academic excellence, values, and holistic development. The ceremony marked a proud and emotional milestone where graduating students were formally conferred with their degrees and recognized for their dedication, perseverance, and achievements. The convocation was graced by the distinguished presence of Hon’ble Chief Guest, Dr. Sushil Mittal, Vice Chancellor of Inder Kumar Gujral Punjab Technical University, whose inspiring presence elevated the prestige of the ceremony. The event was further honored by the presence of eminent dignitaries including Dr. Dev Inder Sharma, Dr. Vikram Sandhu, Dr. A.R. Khan, and Dr. Sukhdeep Kaur.    The ceremony was conducted under the visionary leadership of the institute’s management: Advisor Sardar Bhupinder Singh Garcha, President Shri Naresh Gupta Ji, Managing Director Sardar Sukhwinder Singh Kang, and Chairman Shri Greesh Gupta Ji, along with the dynamic guidance of Principal Dr. Palwinder Kumar, faculty members, heads of departments, proud parents, media partners, and invited guests whose gracious presence made the occasion truly memorable.    The academic procession marked the formal commencement of the ceremony, followed by the National Anthem and the declaration of the convocation open. The gathering was addressed by the President and the Principal, who presented the annual report and highlighted the institute’s academic achievements, growth, and vision for the future. The ceremony also included the felicitation of the Chief Guest and distinguished dignitaries in recognition of their valuable contributions to the field of education and society.    A key highlight of the convocation was the inspiring Convocation Address by Dr. Sushil Mittal, who encouraged graduates to uphold integrity, pursue excellence, and utilize their knowledge for the betterment of society. His motivating words served as a guiding light for the graduating class as they prepared to embark on new professional journeys.   The ceremony witnessed the proud moment of degree and medal distribution to students across various disciplines including BCA, BBA, B.Com (Hons.), BHMCT, BMLS, and Fashion Designing. Meritorious students were specially honored for their outstanding academic performance, symbolizing the spirit of dedication and excellence fostered by the institution.    In a solemn and meaningful segment, the graduates took a pledge to uphold truth, integrity, and the values of their alma mater, and to use their knowledge and skills for the betterment of humanity and society. This moment reflected the institute’s vision of nurturing not only successful professionals but also responsible citizens.   The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the Chief Guest, dignitaries, management, faculty, parents, and students for making the First Annual Convocation 2026 a grand success. The event stood as a proud testament to Shree Hanumat IMT’s mission of empowering students with knowledge, values, and confidence to excel in their future endeavors and contribute meaningfully to society. 

🌟 Cake Mixing Ceremony – Hotel Management & Catering Technology at SHIMT, Goraya The Hotel Management Department of Shree Hanumat Institute of Management and Technology successfully organized a Cake Mixing Ceremony, marking the joyous beginning of the festive season with great enthusiasm and devotion. The event was conducted under the gracious guidance and blessings of the worthy Management and the Respected Principal, Dr. Palwinder Kumar. This traditional pre-Christmas celebration aimed to provide students with practical exposure to bakery traditions while fostering creativity, teamwork, and professional culinary skills. Students actively participated in the ceremonial mixing of assorted dry fruits, nuts, and aromatic spices, gaining valuable insights into ingredient selection, hygiene standards, and professional baking practices. The ceremony not only infused the campus with festive cheer but also served as an enriching learning experience, connecting students with the rich traditions of the hospitality industry and enhancing their hands-on culinary knowledge. Shree Hanumat IMT continues to remain committed to offering experiential learning opportunities that nurture professional excellence and industry readiness among students.

🌟 Principal’s Meet – Summit of Minds on NEP 2020 at SHIMT, Goraya Shree Hanumat Institute of Management and Technology (SHIMT), Goraya successfully organized the Principal’s Meet – Summit of Minds on the theme “National Education Policy 2020: Shaping Educators for Viksit Bharat.” The event brought together distinguished academicians and institutional leaders for an insightful discussion on the National Education Policy 2020 and its transformative role in the future of Indian education. The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Ajoy Batta, Professor and Head, Department of English, School of Liberal and Creative Arts, who shared profound insights into how NEP 2020 can empower educators to drive meaningful change and innovation in academic ecosystems. The seminar witnessed active participation, lively discussions, and valuable takeaways that inspired all attendees to reimagine the future of teaching and learning in alignment with national goals. Chappan Bhog – 56 Flavours of Devotion 🍽️ A grand tribute to Lord Krishna, the Chappan Bhog prepared by our Hotel Management students blended culinary artistry with divine devotion. Shree Hanumat Institute of Management & Technology (SHIMT), Goraya proudly celebrated Independence Day with immense enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. To mark this historic occasion, a Digital Poster Making Competition was organized on the theme of Independence. Our talented students showcased their creativity and love for the nation through vibrant and thought-provoking digital artworks, reflecting their deep sense of pride and respect for India’s rich heritage. Continuing the festive spirit, the institution also celebrated the divine festival of Janmashtami with devotion and joy. A Pot Decoration Competition was held, where students artistically decorated traditional pots, capturing the cultural and spiritual essence of the occasion. Adding to the celebrations, the Hotel Management Department of Shree Hanumat IMT prepared a magnificent offering of 56 varieties of dishes (Chappan Bhog) dedicated to Lord Krishna. The beautifully prepared Chappan Bhog was later distributed as Prasad, spreading positivity, unity, and the sweetness of devotion across the campus. 👏 Kudos to the organizing team for their dedication and seamless execution!

The Commerce & Management Department* proudly organized Brand-O-Mania, an exciting interdepartmental quiz that put students’ branding knowledge to the test! Four enthusiastic teams from different departments battled it out across four thrilling rounds, showcasing their expertise in logos, taglines, brand origins, and marketing strategies. Each round brought intense competition, engaging discussions, and valuable brand insights, making it a learning experience for all participants. After an exhilarating contest, *Team A from BCA* emerged as the ultimate winner, demonstrating exceptional knowledge and quick thinking! Kudos to all teams for their enthusiastic participation and a special congratulations to the winners! The event was a perfect blend of fun and learning, leaving students inspired to explore the dynamic world of branding.

The Commerce Department is pleased to announce the successful completion of its online webinar, ” *Helping People Manage Their Own Money,”* held on February 10, 2025, in *collaboration with SV Wealth Partners.* Renowned expert *Dwijen Dutta* shared valuable insights on effective financial management, covering key topics such as:-Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs), Mutual Funds,NSE, Investment Avenues. The session empowered attendees with knowledge on navigating financial markets and resolving grievances through the SCORES (SEBI Complaints Redressal System) platform. We appreciate the enthusiastic participation of all attendees and thank SV Wealth Partners for their expertise and partnership.

Department of Hotel  Management successfully conducted an Industrial Visit to Hotel Park Plaza, Jalandhar. The visit was a great success, with all students receiving exceptional hospitality throughout the experience. During our time at the hotel, students had the opportunity to explore various departments and gain firsthand knowledge of hotel operations. We were fortunate to have informative sessions led by the HR Manager, Mr. Chandan Sharma, Training Executive Ms.Diva Sharma and the General Manager, Mr. Rahul Sharma.Their insights into the industry were invaluable and greatly appreciated by both students and faculty. This visit not only enhanced our students’ understanding of the hospitality sector but also reinforced the importance of practical exposure in their education.

Today, our students visited the *Mach Auto Expo 2025* at the Ludhiana Exhibition Centre in Sahnewal, Ludhiana. This four-day event, held from February 21 to 24, 2025, is India’s leading exhibition on machine tools and automation technology . The expo showcased a wide range of machine tools and automation products, including CNC machines, lathes, milling machines, grinders, presses, welding equipment, and automation systems . Our students had the opportunity to witness cutting-edge technology and interact with industry experts. The event featured over 550 exhibitors and was expected to attract around 40,000 visitors . It provided a platform for manufacturers and buyers to connect, share knowledge, and explore business opportunities. By attending the MachAuto Expo 2025, our students gained valuable insights into the latest trends and advancements in machine tools and automation technology. This experience will undoubtedly benefit those interested in pursuing a career in the industrial sector.

National Science Day Celebration: BMLS Department Visits Science City, KapurthalaThe Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Sciences (BMLS) Department celebrated National Science Day by organizing an educational visit to Science City, Kapurthala. The event aimed to foster a spirit of scientific inquiry and curiosity among students.The visit was designed to provide students with a unique opportunity to explore the wonders of science and technology in an interactive and engaging manner. The objective was to: – Encourage students to develop a deeper understanding of scientific principles and their applications– Foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills A group of BMLS students, accompanied by faculty members, visited Science City, Kapurthala. The students were thrilled to explore the various exhibits and displays showcasing cutting-edge scientific advancements.
