The gig economy no doubt is providing extra income to the people but it’s not a permanent source of income. These kinds of jobs are less secure and provide very modest pay to a worker which is not enough to support the expenses to live quality life. Income is very inconsistent. Traditional jobs provide many benefits to employees like paid vacations, insurance and retirement plans while gig workers get nothing out of it. Discipline yourself not to be late, persuade clients that you’re the one, stick to agreed-upon dates, be on time, please clients to get positive feedback, and most all, don’t mess up because it’ll be your whole duty. And not everyone is cut out for this kind of independence. Same in the case of Businesses that embrace the ideas of the gig economy have also challenged previously established firms, driving them to adapt and improve significantly. In certain cases, the gig economy has completely overtaken traditional industries and their employees. Airbnb, for example, is putting the hotel business on notice, as is Uber and the taxi industry.
